We love cycling and we want to be able to make more safe journeys by bike with our friends, our family and visitors.
- to represent cycling in Northumberland and to be part of a growing network of organisations nationally and in the North East to campaign for cleaner, greener transport and safer cycling infrastructure and conditions.
- to be a collective voice for existing, new and returning cyclists so they can be heard and represented with key decision-makers and authorities and ensure our voice is heard.
- to establish a direct line of communication with decision-makers and authorities, respond to their consultations and keep them accountable.
- to promote cycling activity within Northumberland and challenge motor normativity. We want to reduce congestion, reduce carbon emission from motorised private transport.
- To campaign for more investment in safe cycling infrastructure and behaviour change programmes which encourage more people to cycle.
- To support other campaigns which benefit cycling, i.e safer streets.
- Ensuring that the transport network and cycle infrastructure are joined up to enable the uptake of sustainable transport in the region.
Our campaign is entirely volunteer run. We are looking for volunteers to plan and run rides, respond to consultations and meet with local authority planners in their area.
